I find myself suddenly close to being able to release my long-awaited new album, "Seventy Lies". The idea was first conceived back in 2007, and I've been actively working on it since early 2014. That's a long time on one project, but this is a rock opera that will span two CDs with 30-some tracks and 100 minutes of music. It's not something that can be done quickly!
I decided, somewhat reluctantly, to enlist the help of a professional to get the music mastered properly. For as many years as I've been recording and mixing my own music, I've never been able to quite get my tracks to have that full, complete sound that professional recordings do. So, I'm going that route, and it's a bit of an expensive one, so I decided to try a campaign on Kickstarter.com that will cover the costs of the remixing and mastering.
There is still a lot to do, but I'm going to have this done and released by April. Finally! I'll be releasing more information as we get closer, and continuing to play gigs when I can. It's a busy time, and very exciting!
